Hey guys,
This thread is for those who want to crack the CET 2009 and get into the D'La Creame B-School. Lets discuss the preparation and strategies..........we will rock this CET 
And To Start With Here Is The Brief Intro.
Cet Which Has 200 Question In It, Which Has To Be Solved In 2hrs 30min Time. Here Speed And Accuracy Is The Most Imp Thing.
I This 200 Marks Paper Year After Year We Are Finding Increase In No. Of Reasoning Questions.
Reasoning- It Is That Part Of The Paper Which Can Be Studied Only Through Self Studing As It Can Not Be Taught By Any Classes. It Has Syllogism,logic, Coding Decoding, Arguments Etc.
visual Reasoning- This Was Very Difficult In This Years Cet-07 Which Has Always Came For Atleast 30marks In Each Year.students Relied Lot On This As It Was Easy In Cet -06 And Made Disaster In Cet -07.
others- We Have Data Interpretation, Quants (20-25 Marks) And English
After The Written Exams We Have 34 Marks For Gd & P.i Remainin 6marks For Acads(4MARKS) And W.exp.(2MARKS)
For Pre Of Gd& Pi You Should B Updatd With Current Affairs
In All We Hv To Score Frm 240 Marks So.

hi guys...
this is vikrant!!
last yr i gave cet ,cat,fms,snap,nmat..etc....but couldnt crack anyone of it...n placed in wipro
 ..i scored 91 percentiles in cet last yr without any exp.,strategy, study....hence i forgot my JB dream!!
but now i am plng to go for only cet n of course destination is JB.
I am plang to score min 150 n above n ready to slog for it.
is bar to dekhta hoon ki kaise muze nahi milta hai JB me...n this yr also
if i wont get JB ,i will try agn in 2010..i will try till my last breath for it!!..
lekin ek na ek din JB me jaoonga jaroor!!! |

Hi guys,
Im trying CET for first time this year (2009)  and haven’t seen any paper of cet till date  . Im continuously searching for it…….  I am workin in Delhi region so here no guidance is available…… could anyone please help me out by providing atleast link to study material or mock papers..…………?

Hii guys lets join hands for MH-Cet preparation.
For those who are writing it for the first time lemme give a an overview of the paper pattern of Mh Cet -
Total Duration of the exam (minutes) - 150 minutes
Total number of questions - 200
Total Marks - 200
Marks per question - 1
Negative marking - no
GDPI and PAR - 40
[34 Marks For Gd & Pi Remaining 6 marks For Acads(4MARKS) And W.exp.(2MARKS)]
Total marks - 240
Overall around 60% questions are from reasoning section. So one needs to prepare on that front very well.
Nos of questions-
Analytical reasoning-55
Verbal Reasoning-20
Logical Reasoning-05
Visual Reasoning-30
Overall Reasoning carried 110
Quantitative Ability-25
Di- 25
Language Comperhension-40
This was the break-up of no of questions of Cet 2008.But as Cet pattern doesn't show drastic changes this is almost the std pattern! |

Hii Vishal....
Now tht ur familiar with the paper pattern just start solving easy questions of quants n di... speed should b ur main aim.. inc speed n practice for the same..
Reasoning is one of the main areas which is tested in MH-CET so start solving all types of reasoning questions- verbal,logical,visual etc etc!
We will soon upload Cet papers in our website...
till tht time u practice n dnt worry about paper pattern ! i have given u an idea as to how to start ur prep! we'll inform when we upload materila!!

thanks yaar.... im more worried about visual reasoning in cet.. in cat i scored 40 in DI; so little bit confidant in that but quant & visual im not very sure......also i didn't got any book for visuals.... it is becoming very difficult for me to study after office hrs i.e. after 8 pm in night......  can anybody guide me about scheduling for CET'09.... after office work i remain with exactly 11 hrs wit me..... in that i've to manage sleep also....  |

I have heard tht visual reasoning is very difficult !! is it true guys... plzz help me n suggest some giid books as well as strategies for cet.....
also i wanted to know the cet workshop details!!

Hii @ Vishal
For reasoning R.S.Agrawal is a very good book it has around 1000 visual reasoning questions.. so tht must be enough!! n as far as time constraints are concerned.... 2-3 hrs or max 4 hrs a day for cet from today i.e is 1st dec is enough for u to crack any good college!! Distribute ur time in the following manner-
1 Hr quants/DI
1 Hr- verbal
2hrs reasoning.....
Analyse which areas r ur strenghts n weaknesses n allot more/less time accordingly.. remember .. study daily so tht u dnt loose the flow..
