Hi,
Sir, This is Rahul.
My genuine attempts at CET where 120-130 with an accuracy of about 85%. n rest all where thukas...
Being an OBC Candidate, what r my chances of getting into Top 5 B-Schools? N also can i consider PG programs in Top 5 B-Schools (like Welingkar's etc.?)
I hav selected my GD/PI centre as Mumbai, does it make any difference in GD/PI score if we select a centre outside Mumbai, if so, can i change the centre? |

Hi,
I too come under the OBC category & i think i should score anything around 115-120. what are my chances of getting into top 5 colleges if i do well in GDPI??
Also wanted to ask the people who come under the OBC category.....if they have applied for the Non-creamy layer certificate???[the certificate has to be valid for this yr & has to be renewed every yr] Have been to the old custom house thrice now....but the work there has been stopped by the deputy collector & its the same case all over Maharashtra.....so all i want to ask is how do we tackle this problem.....m very tensed....can any of the OBC candidates revert back with any info.......thanks in advance.

Hi Akshada,
Non creamy layer certificate for OBC candidates is must. last year they accepted the non creamylayer certificates (N.L.C.) of the previous year which was valid upto March 07 . Now the scenario has been changed this year you require non creamy layer certiicate which is valid from april 08 to march 09 . so even if you have N.L.C. which is valid upto march 08 wont be accepted and you might be landed up in general category. you need to have N. L. C. from the april 08 to March 09. so apply for a new N.L.C in april. they have stopped renewing the old N.L.C. but you can apply for the new one. Bye the way 115-120 is very good score. you might get JB or Sydenham.

Hi Akshada,
You should apply for a new NLC and that to from april 08 onwards only then you will get it for year 08 to 09. And the renewal process is closed but you can apply for a new one. this process hardly takes 1 month. Neverthless you have 1 1/2 months to submit the docs. so no worries
This is applicable to every OBC students. so keep your fingers crossed and wait for the result. |

| The renewal process should be closed for upto march 08. And will start from april 08 so NLC will be given to the OBC students for next year ot of this year. |
