I am preparing for NMAT alongside CAT so NMAT has some topics that are not in CAT so if you can guide on how to handle those additional sections with the core CAT preparation

So to prepare for NMAT you can refer to their offcial NMAT book which is available on Amazon for approx 1500. It has all the PYQs as well

depends upon how are you exams scheduled, if NMAT is before CAT, then you'll have to parellely prepare for NMAT as well as CAT. And keep a clear goal whether you want to get into IIMs only or you are ok with private colleges as well becuase both will require separate preparation strategies.

I wish I'd knew that that MBA is not just about competitive exams, you also need to develope other skills Likes presentation, coding languages and in general about finance, marketing etc

There are various committees like placements, alumni relations, student council and function cells like finance, marketing, operations, consulting etc. For freshers ECA can be great value addition in CV

What’s the overall student culture like? Are students more collaborative or competitive?”

you can't categorize students simply in these two segments, someone who has been very supportive to you in general can absolutely steam roll you in GDs. So you need to understand that everyone are here for good placements, and if means to step over you, they'll do it with a smile on their face. Focus on yourself, build allies.

Internships before joining the MBA program, certifications from Coursera ( Udemy certificates are not allowed in many colleges), commiittees when you join MBA program.

Any mistakes you made during your NMAT prep that you’d warn others about?

I want pretty satisfied with my NMAT performance, but I regret the fact that I didn't prepare up to the mark for WATPI. Since this time NMIMS had competence test and AI interview, I didn't had any material to prepare but still I feel I could've done better

How much weight does the PI round actually carry compared to NMAT scores?

This time it was there was 50% wieightage to processes apart from NMAT

What’s the food scene like around campus? Can you survive as a vegetarian?

The canteen of NMIMS is really good, you can get good food at a cheaper price plus there are many campus of SVKM around the same place, so you can go in any campus to try their food,

depends on your lifestyle but I would say around 15 to 20k per month
