Colleges need to cut this down further, everyone deserves a fair chance, the world doesn’t just comprise of engineers

MBA ideally are for those who want to pivot to the managerial roles. It can be anyone from any background. It's not limited for commerce background. There's a difference.

Even many companies offer paid leave for their employees to do MBA ( These are mostly distance MBA or other way because they just need the certificate to get promotional role)
