Financial Roadmap: IIM Udaipur MBA 2026–28 Fee Structure & Exit Strategy

Body

Navigating the financial commitment of a premier MBA program requires precision. Beyond the tuition fees, understanding the structural breakdown including hostel, mess, and refundable deposits is critical for effective financial planning. For the 2026–28 batch at IIM Udaipur, students must balance these academic costs against the strict withdrawal timelines that govern the entire admission cycle.

Year-on-Year Fee Breakdown

Year Period Tuition & Misc. (LPA) Total Investment
First Year Terms I, II, & III ~9.2 LPA ~₹10,92,508
Second Year Terms IV, V, & VI ~8.1 LPA ~₹10,58,750

The withdrawal policy is designed with clear "gateways." The critical date of July 6, 2026, serves as the final threshold for a significant portion of your investment.

  • The Pre-Commencement Advantage: Withdrawing before the June 22, 2026 start date is the most cost-effective exit, with only a nominal ₹1,000 deduction.

  • The Transition Period: Between June 22 and July 6, the institution transitions to an administrative deduction model (₹30,000), acknowledging that the academic cycle has already begun.

  • The Post-Deadline Risk: Post-July 7, tuition is fully non-refundable. At this stage, financial recovery is limited to variable costs (mess/hostel) and the fixed caution deposit.

Pro-Tip: If you are holding multiple offers, do not wait until the last minute. If your preference shifts, execute your withdrawal before the July 6 deadline to protect your principal capital.

The caution deposit refund is a nice buffer, but the ₹30,000 admin charge definitely makes you think twice about holding a seat if you aren't sure

This breakdown is so helpful! The July 6th deadline is much earlier than I realized. Definitely bookmarking this for my planning
