How can I crack the SNAP test in the first attempt? Please help.

Body

Hey people! I am planning to give the SNAP exam this year and I really want to crack it on my first attempt. Can anyone please share some tips or strategies that worked for you? How should I plan my preparation, especially with the speed and accuracy SNAP demands?

  • I cracked SNAP last year on my first attempt by keeping my prep targeted and strategic. I didnot try to master everything, just made sure I was quick with what I already knew. I practiced around 25 mocks and revised the mistakes from each one. My advice: work on mental math, grammar rules, and LR tricks. And try solving the first 10 to 15 questions fast to boost confidence during the exam. Trust me, consistent practice and smart planning works.ย

  • Since I was working, I did not have too much time every day. I focused on high yield topics and did 1to 2 hours of focused prep daily. I used weekends for full mocks and revisions. One tip Iโ€™d give is, do not overprepare like CAT. SNAP questions are simpler but the speed needed is way higher. You need to learn how to skip tough questions and not waste time. Also, remember to practice in a real exam environment to build stamina.

SNAP is all about staying calm and moving fast. I focused on building speed from day one. For Quant, I revised basic arithmetic, percentages, ratios, and speed-time-distance regularly. For Reasoning, I did puzzles and short LR sets. I also joined a test series to get used to the pressure. Honestly, with just 2 to 3 months of focused prep, it is possible to crack SNAP on the first try if you're consistent and keep working on improving your weak areas.

For me, the key was mock tests. I started with topic wise preparation and moved to full length mocks about a month before the exam. Analyzing them helped me identify which sections to attempt first and how to manage time. My strategy was to solve the easiest questions first and not get stuck on one. Verbal can be scoring, so I kept improving vocab using apps and reading editorials. Also, SNAP rewards smart attempts, not just solving all questions.

Cracking SNAP in the first attempt is totally doable if you focus on speed and accuracy. The paper is not tough, but itโ€™s super time pressured 60 questions in 60 minutes. I practiced a lot of sectional mocks, especially on short and quick reasoning questions. Also, GK is no longer part of SNAP, so spend more time on Quant, LR, and Verbal. Just keep revising formulas, solving questions daily, and get used to fast decision making.
