One of the biggest confusions in CAT prep is, should you follow one book/source religiously or keep exploring multiple ones (YouTube, apps, coaching notes, PDFs, etc.)?
I’ve seen aspirants get stuck in this trap. On one hand, sticking to one source brings clarity, you know exactly what to study and how to measure progress. On the other, exploring too many resources often leads to FOMO (“what if this source has a better shortcut?”) and leaves you scattered.
In my experience, the material you choose matters less than how consistently you use it. Even the most basic book, if revised and practiced thoroughly, can take you a long way. Jumping between five different sources usually creates more confusion than results.
That said, sometimes referring to another source for a tough concept or practice variety helps. The key is moderation, use a primary source as your backbone, and only dip into others when you really need clarity or extra practice.
At the end of the day, depth > breadth. CAT rewards mastery, not hoarding material.
