Body
The SNAP exam is one of the fastest MBA entrance tests in India just 60 questions in 60 minutes. Unlike CAT or XAT, you don’t get the luxury of warming up or spending too much time on one section. Every minute matters, and a scattered prep plan won’t work. To crack SNAP 2025, you need a clear, section wise preparation strategy that sharpens accuracy, builds speed, and trains you to handle the pressure of a one-hour sprint.

Section-Wise SNAP Preparation Strategy
- General English: Reading Comprehension (RC) & Verbal Ability (VA)
RC passages in SNAP are short to medium in length. They test main idea, detail, inference, tone, and vocabulary in context.
-
Read one editorial + one business article daily.
-
Practice with a 6-8 min timer per passage.
-
Mark the supporting line for every correct answer.
-
Maintain a mistake log for errors like scope shifts, extreme options, or missed qualifiers.
Skip very dense topics early; attempt them later once reading speed improves.
- Verbal Ability (VA) : VA tests grammar, vocabulary, and sentence sense.
- Keep a one-page grammar sheet (SVA, modifiers, pronouns, parallelism, prepositions). Revise daily.
- Learn 8-10 new words daily and use them in sentences.
- Solve 10 sentence correction/completion questions in 5 minutes.
Eliminate awkward/extreme answer choices; pick the one that fits meaning and grammar.
- Analytical & Logical Reasoning
This is SNAP’s scoring powerhouse with 25 questions.
Key topics: Seating arrangements, puzzles, series, analogies, blood relations, directions, coding-decoding, syllogisms, clocks, calendars, decision-making, visual reasoning.
- Master linear/circular seating with sketches.
- Use family tree diagrams for relation based Qs.
- Apply Venn diagrams for syllogisms and test counter cases.
- Practice 20 LR questions daily (12 easy, 8 moderate).
- Attempt 2 arrangement sets daily with clean grid-based diagrams.
Note traps like exactly, only, unless they cause most errors.
- Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency
20 questions mix arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and DI/DS.
Key focus areas:
- Arithmetic: percentages, ratios, averages, P&L, SI/CI, speed-distance.
- Algebra: equations, inequalities, functions.
- Geometry & Mensuration: triangles, circles, area, volume.
- DI/DS: tables, graphs, sufficiency checks.
Preparation tips:
- Revise arithmetic & algebra formulas daily.
- For DS: focus on whether info is sufficient, not solving fully.
- Daily load: 15-20 quant Qs + 2 DI/DS sets (alternate days).
SNAP Mock Test Strategy
Mocks replicate exam stress and refine your strategy.
-
Phase 1 (early prep): 1 mock every 4-5 days. Review same day.
-
Phase 2 (last month): 2 mocks per week.
-
Two-pass approach:
-
Pass 1: Attempt sitters + quick RCs.
-
Pass 2: Attempt medium level sets.
-
Leave the hardest for the end.
-
-
Error review: Tag mistakes as concept, speed, carelessness. Redo wrong Qs untimed.
