It’s the question that surfaces every placement season: Why do blue-chip legacy recruiters like Colgate-Palmolive exclude established powerhouses from their elite engagement programs? The Colgate Inner Circle is one of the most coveted marketing competitions/fast-track hiring tracks, and seeing IIM Indore (I), IIM Shillong (S), and MDI Gurgaon missing is certainly a head-turner.

IIM Indore missing out is a shocker every year. We have the 'Triple Crown' accreditation and a solid marketing curriculum. It definitely feels like an alumni network play at this point. Hopefully, the placement committee is negotiating for 2027

Don't read too much into it regarding 'quality.' Sometimes these lists are just based on the previous 3 years' conversion rates. If students from a particular campus didn't accept Colgate offers in favor of HUL or P&G, the company might move that campus out of the 'Inner Circle' to save costs
