Delhi Final Placements 2024–2026: ROI King Maintains ₹32.27 LPA Average

Body

FMS Delhi’s placement process is uniquely structured into Lateral (for those with 18+ months of experience) and Final placements. Even with a larger batch size, the institute achieved near-total placement with significant jumps in the top-tier brackets.

1. Compensation Breakdown

The statistics for the current cycle highlight a concentrated wealth at the top:

  • Highest CTC: ₹1.1 Crore (Domestic)

  • Average CTC: ₹32.27 LPA

  • Median CTC: ₹29.59 LPA

  • Top 10% Average: ₹60.67 LPA

  • Top 25% Average: ₹51.6 LPA (Estimated)

2. Sectoral Dominance

  • Consulting & Strategy: Remained the largest recruiter, accounting for nearly 35% of all offers. Key firms include Accenture Strategy, Bain & Co., BCG, and Kearney.

BFSI (Finance): Witnessed a surge in "Front-end" roles. Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and JPMC recruited for Investment Banking and Private Equity profiles.
  • Sales & Marketing: The "legacy" strength of FMS. FMCG giants like HUL, P&G, and ITC continue to treat FMS as a preferred destination for Brand Management roles.

3. The ROI Calculation

With a total 2-year fee of approximately ₹2.43 Lakhs, and an average CTC of ₹32.27 LPA, the payback period for an FMS graduate is roughly 31 days of work. This remains the most efficient financial "arbitrage" in global management education.

It's interesting to see that FMS still allows the 'Placement Holiday' for entrepreneurs. For the 2024-26 batch, about 12 students opted out to start their own ventures. This safety net where you can come back to the finals later is what actually fosters the 'Geek' culture we love. It’s a low-risk, high-reward environment for founders

Stop comparing FMS to IIM ABC based on CTC alone. When you graduate from an IIM with a ₹30L loan, your first 3-4 years of 'High CTC' go into servicing debt. At FMS, you start with zero baggage. A ₹32L package at FMS is effectively 'wealthier' than a ₹40L package at an IIM if you factor in the interest-adjusted net worth over 5 years
