MAH MBA CET 2026 Day 1 Slot 1 Analysis, Easy to Moderate

Body

The first slot of the MAH MBA CET 2026 has concluded, and the initial feedback suggests a departure from the traditional "puzzle-heavy" CET of the past. For aspirants appearing in the upcoming slots, the key takeaway is the shift towards standalone logical questions and a heavy focus on Arithmetic.

Overall Difficulty

  • Easy to Moderate

  • Slight changes in exam pattern noticed

Logical Reasoning (Easy–Moderate)

  • No Critical Reasoning questions

  • Only 1 Puzzle

  • Topics included: Coding-Decoding, Syllogism, Blood Relations

  • Incomplete Number Series, Odd One Out

  • A few Quant-based questions also appeared

Quantitative Aptitude (Easy–Moderate)

  • Arithmetic-heavy section

  • Major topics: Time-Speed-Distance, Profit & Loss

  • Some Geometry questions

  • 2 DI sets

Verbal Ability (Moderate)

  • RC (20 Qs): Women Empowerment, Cyber Crime, Tariff, EV

  • Vocabulary (7 Qs)

  • Grammar (10 Qs)

  • Para Jumbles

Abstract Reasoning (Moderate)

  • Figure Counting, Series

  • Odd One Out, Pattern Completion

  • Paper Folding, Analogy

Overall, it felt like a balanced paper with no major surprises, but fewer puzzles and no critical reasoning in LR was interesting.

The RC topics seem very standard. 'Women Empowerment' and 'EV' are common editorial themes. If you read the newspaper daily, the 20 RC questions should have been a breeze

Glad I spent the last week on Profit & Loss and TSD. It seems CET is slowly moving toward the CAT/NMAT style of focusing on core Arithmetic rather than just calculation-heavy DI

No Critical Reasoning in LR? That’s a massive relief! Usually, those Statement-Assumption questions are so subjective. If the rest of the slots follow this, the scores are going to soar
