Do colleges like XLRI, NMIMS, and SIBM Pune consider profile (academics, work ex) like IIMs do?

Body

My profile is average (7/7/7) and I have about 1 year of work ex. If I do not get into the IIMs due to my academics, can I rely on XLRI via XAT, or NMIMS/SIBM via NMAT and SNAP? Do these colleges also heavily weigh academics and diversity, or is it mostly based on entrance score + PI performance?

Yes, you can definitely rely on them. Unlike the older IIMs, XLRI, NMIMS, and SIBM place much more emphasis on entrance scores and PI/WAT performance. Your academic record, such as 7/7/7, usually won't be a major drawback. A strong test score combined with a good PI can easily improve your profile
