How many mocks should I give???

Body

Hi guys, I am falling behind in my mocks, scoring pretty badly. Can you people please tell me how to go about it when it comes to mocks and how to trace progress? I really need some help.

  • Use an Excel sheet to track attempts vs accuracy. Categorize errors, conceptual, silly, or time-related. Work on timing strategies. Also review solutions from CATKing or TIME—sometimes your approach is too long.I divide analysis into 3 steps: (1) Easy questions I missed, shouldn’t happen again. (2) Wrong questions, was it logic or panic? (3) Time spent per section, am I rushing or slow? Make a habit of writing down takeaways. Don’t get discouraged by mock scores. They’re tools to simulate pressure. Focus on improving accuracy and learning from mistakes. I saw jumps in my scores only after the 8th or 9th mock. Persistence is key.

Start with 1 mock/week from July, increase to 2–3/week in September. Spend 3–4 hours analyzing each mock: identify which questions you should’ve attempted, where you wasted time, and how many silly mistakes you made.

I gave 30+ mocks. Initially scored low, but after each mock, I noted the question type I got wrong and practiced 20 similar ones. I improved from 85 to 97 percentile. Analysis matters more than the mock itself.
