I am not getting good scores in the mocks. How can I improve, any suggestions??

Body

I have been struggling with my mock tests and not scoring as well as I would like. I think I need to change the way I am studying or maybe focus more on certain areas. If anyone has any tips or suggestions on how to improve, please let me know. I would really appreciate the help.

  • Honestly, do not jump into mocks without fully mastering the basics. Take a step back, go through NCERT-level stuff for Quant and revise grammar and vocabulary. Mocks help only when your base is strong. Try alternating between learning and testing to get the best results.

I realized that I need to train my brain under timed conditions more often. So now I do 15โ€“30 minute timed drills every day. It has helped me stay calm and make quicker decisions. I highly recommend it.

  • Hey I was in the same boat. Trust me, analysis is everything. Like, after one mock, I spent 2 hours just understanding why I got certain things wrong and it opened my eyes.ย

  • I suggest doing multiple sectional tests to improve speed and accuracy. Also, attempting your strongest section first helps a lot.

Same here. What I have started doing recently is maintaining an error log. After each mock, I jot down the type of questions I got wrong and why I got them wrong, whether it was a silly mistake, conceptual error, or just lack of time. Thatโ€™s been helping me notice patterns. Also, review the mocks more than once.
