IIM Ranchi Final Placements 2024-26: Analytics Outshines General MBA?

Body

The "IIM in the Land of Dhoni" has officially released its placement statistics for the 2024-2026 batch, and the numbers tell a story of specialization-led growth. While the core MBA remains steady, the MBA-Business Analytics (BA) program has emerged as the dark horse, significantly outperforming other streams in terms of average and top-tier packages.

  • The Analytics Surge: The MBA-BA program's average of ₹20.99 LPA is notably higher than the General MBA's ₹19.24 LPA. This reflects the intense market demand for data-driven decision-makers and suggests that IIM Ranchi’s Analytics curriculum is hitting the right notes with tech and consulting firms.

  • PPO Resilience: The Average PPO (Pre-Placement Offer) CTC stands at ₹19.28 LPA, almost identical to the final average. This indicates that the quality of roles offered during summer internships is consistent with final hiring, providing a stable safety net for students.

  • The High-End Cap: The General MBA continues to be the home for "outlier" packages, clinching the highest domestic offer of ₹52.50 LPA, likely in a niche Finance or Strategy role.

  • HRM Stability: While the HRM average is slightly lower at ₹17.74 LPA, the Top 25% pulling in ~₹21 LPA shows that for specialists, Ranchi remains a top-tier destination for Human Resources.

"People often sleep on the HRM program at Ranchi, but a ₹17.74 LPA average is solid for HR in India. If you can break into that Top 25% (₹20.95 LPA), you're essentially at par with XLRI or TISS median levels. Great option for those who want a specialized brand without the extreme stress of the General MBA rat race

Look at that MBA-BA average! It’s officially higher than the General MBA average. If you are an engineer with a bit of coding background, Ranchi’s Analytics program is starting to look like a much better bet than many older IIMs' general programs. The market is clearly paying a premium for data skills
