Over the last few years, a few IIMs have opted out of the CAP process to gain more control over their admissions and to align their selection criteria IIM UDAPIUR , IIM RAPIUR AND IIM SAMBHALPUR

The IIM Common Admission Process (CAP) is a centralized selection process used by several newer IIMs to streamline the personal interview (PI) and written ability test (WAT) for their MBA programs. Instead of applying and appearing for separate interviews at each institute, candidates with a valid CAT score and meeting the cutoff criteria can go through a single CAP interview round.
