If you're looking for the solution, it's 13. I solved it by looking at the 45 and the 14 the factors have to be 9 and 5. It takes longer to type the answer than to find it!

The answer is x = 13. You can see it instantly because x^2 - 14x + 45 breaks down into (x-9)(x-5)$ Once the (x-5) cancels, it's just basic addition!
