Glad this is being talked about it's better to face the reality check now than after scoring a 99 percentile and wondering why the calls aren't coming in. It forces you to build a 'spike' in your profile elsewhere like internships or national-level certifications to compensate for those past scores.

Honestly, this is the wake-up call every college student needs early on. We all love that 'rebel' attitude after boards, but the IIM shortlisting process is data-driven. Knowing this early helps you realize that if your 12th is low, you need to absolutely CRUSH the CAT and maybe look at FMS or XLRI where the academic weightage is a bit more forgiving.

It is genuinely frustrating how a choice made at 17 years old can haunt you a decade later. People grow, mature, and find their focus much later in life. Judging someoneโ€™s management potential based on how they performed in Chemistry or History in school feels incredibly outdated. We talk about 'diversity' and 'inclusion,' but we still filter candidates using a rigid system that doesn't account for personal growth or late bloomers. It's high time B-schools put more weight on current professional skills and less on school-level marks
