At what point do authorities stop treating these as isolated incidents and start fixing the system properly?
Last year, students reportedly had to struggle through extreme summer heat without proper assistance or management support. There were protests, students sleeping in mess areas, and continuous complaints about facilities and living conditions.
Now this year, students are talking about admission offer glitches and confusion again this is an IIM students come here with massive expectations, loans, pressure, and career dreams attached to the brand. The least they expect is proper administration, communication, and basic student support.
Instead, every few months another issue surfaces online and students are left managing stress, uncertainty, and chaos themselves.

We are seeing a pattern where administrative incompetence is hidden behind disciplinary threats. When managing student dissent becomes more efficient than fixing a server or fixing a roof, the system is fundamentally broken.

The core issue is that IIMs operate in a complete monopoly market. They know that no matter how bad the hostel infrastructure gets, and no matter how broken the communication portals are, aspirants will still queue up by the lakhs to write CAT. Because the students have zero leverage, the authorities have zero incentive to treat them like "clients" who deserve premium service.
