So, generally, the majority of IIMs and top private B-schools consider workex over one year; in some cases, it is also six months; and in others, such as IIM Indore, it is not considered at all, so you will have to check this on a college basis.

For someone with a “non-traditional” profile or minimal work experience, what advice would you give to make the most of IIM Indore opportunities?

For someone coming in with a more “non-traditional” background  say, having done freelance work, taken up small research projects, or explored short-term gigs instead of full-time corporate roles what would be your advice on how they can make the most of IIM Indore’s opportunities? Specifically, how can such students position themselves during academics, networking, and placements so that their unique experiences are seen as strengths rather than gaps?

Are there any clubs or student led initiatives that you’d say are “must-join” for learning, networking, or just making the most of the IIM Indore experience?

So all the clubs and committees have something special about them; it really comes down to what you are interested in.

No one who joins any of these committees or clubs feels like they did not get to network or make the most of the opportunity.

IIM Indore specifically gives alot of weightage to your acads. Your 10th, 12th and grad score make up for some where around 60% of your initial shortlisting criteria provided you meet the basic CAT cut off.

Write down your answers. There are some basic 15-20 questions that are asked. You can search them up on the internet, write down your answers, and iterate on them until you feel confident in them.

You should start with understanding your strengths and weaknesses. Pretty of free content out there for you to study from. Give a few mocks and you’ll understand where you stand. And then perhaps if you feel like you need a coaching, opt for one.
