XAT Score vs Percentile Trends for 2020-26

Body

Every year after the Xavier Aptitude Test, one of the first questions aspirants start asking is: “What score will translate into what percentile?” Because XAT’s difficulty and normalization can vary each year, the score vs percentile relationship shifts slightly every time.

Looking at the trends from the past few years gives a rough benchmark. For instance, scoring in the mid-30s has usually hovered around the 99 percentile range, while scores in the mid-20s often land close to the 90 percentile mark. These numbers aren’t fixed predictions, but they help candidates estimate where they might stand.

Sectional cutoffs at XLRI make preparation slightly tricky because candidates need balance across all sections rather than just a high overall score.

Decision Making section often becomes the differentiator in XAT. Strong performance there can significantly improve the overall percentile.
