Your MBA 2026 Roadmap: Don't Miss These Deadlines!

Body

The race to the top B-schools starts long before the exam day. August is the "Golden Month" where the gates open for CAT, SNAP, and NMAT. Whether you are aiming for the IIMs or the specialized corridors of MICA, timing your registration is a strategy in itself. Early registration for NMAT and SNAP ensures you get your preferred test centers and dates, allowing you to build a buffer for the high-stakes CAT Sunday in November. Save this calendar and start your countdown the next 6 months will define your career trajectory!

ย

  • The "Three-Attempt" Rule: For NMAT and SNAP, register early. Booking your slots in August allows you to space out your attempts and avoid burnout during the heavy CAT/XAT weeks.

  • Budgeting: With CAT at โ‚น2,500 and SNAP at โ‚น2,250 per attempt (plus college application fees), expect to spend โ‚น15,000โ€“โ‚น25,000 on the application process alone.

  • The MICA Strategy: MICAT is unique. You need a valid CAT/XAT score to qualify. If you're eyeing Marketing, don't miss the November deadline for MICAT-1; it gives you a "safety net" before MICAT-2 in January.

for MICAT: Don't ignore the psychometric section. Everyone focuses on the descriptive part, but if you don't clear the psychometric test, they won't even look at your aptitude scores. Itโ€™s the biggest silent killer in MICA admissions!

Can we talk about the application costs? โ‚น2,500 for CAT, then โ‚น2,250 per SNAP attempt... by the time I apply to 4-5 private colleges, Iโ€™ve spent half a month's salary! Make sure you guys pick your 'target' schools wisely before hitting pay

I just saw the NMAT window definitely taking my first attempt in October. Itโ€™s so much better to get one score in the bag before the CAT pressure hits in November. Who else is planning an early NMAT?
