What is the biggest mistake students make while preparing for NMAT according to you?

Not giving adaptive mocks. Which separates it from other exams.

Packages are reflected as per what they get from the companies during placements. Refer to the placement reports for the accurate figures.
Placements shortlisting depends lots on luck, so ensure any shortlist you get, you ensure to convert it.

Panelists look for a balanced combination of communication skills, domain knowledge, and clarity of goals. They need to see if the candidate evaluates the case and responds rather than blindly following an approach

Sir, is work experience necessary or beneficial for converting NMIMS Mumbai?

No. You have 30-40% freshers in NMIMS Mumbai. While work experience does help during interview rounds, however its not necessary for conversion

Which mocks and prep materials did you find most aligned with the actual NMAT? Or did you self-study?

I took official NMAT mocks that it releases for preparation practice. 1 is given for free, you can purchase more if you want from there.
Most of my preparation was online and self study. Take mocks from institutes that offer adaptive mocks for NMAT. There is no point giving non adaptive mocks in NMAT

Sir during your interview, what kind of topics were asked in your Case Discussion? How do you recommend preparing for that round?

Hi vaibhav,
During my interview rounds, we did not have case discussion, we had WAT rounds. However recommend you to give mock GDs, and improve your critical thinking, Decision making that will help you crack this round as there is no fixed answer during this round, but what matters is the approach you take while handling a situation

Sir, if you do not mind me asking, I just wanted to know what your academic and professional profile was and if it affected your final call conversion at NMIMS? My academic profile is 7/7/7, will that have any impact in my selection?

I am a 9/9/9 in academics and have 2.5 years of work experience before MBA.
Academics have weightage in NMIMS selection (must have 50% in UG) however if you get high scores in NMAT and other interview rounds, you can cover up this gap very easily. You need to stand out in other criteria to cover this up

Do I apply to multiple campuses (Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad)? and how can I prioritize or rank them? Like is there any major differences between the campuses that I should keep in mind?

NMIMS Mumbai is the most preferred by the aspirants due to the location of the campus in the financial hub as well as the diversity of students that it brings.
Keep that as your first priority, others you can decide based on your targeted specialisation

Good evening sir, I just wanted to ask, what was your daily routine while preparing for NMAT? Were you preparing for CAT simultaneously? I am preparing for both but I really want to crack NMIMS. So just wanted to know your experience regarding it.

Hi Prem,
I used to work during my office hours, and have a fixed timetable for 3-4 hours daily. Holidays / week offs were reserved for Mocks attempts, and self preparation that was about 5-6 hours on saturday and sunday.
I prepared for both exams as 80% of the syllabus was common. The remaining 20% was covered by additional material online for preparation for NMAT
