Wow that is a very interesting question that takes me back to those amazing days at Harvard! A typical day would start with a Breakfast at 7 am to 8 am followed by a Group Discussion amongst your Apartment Mates for the Cases to be done Today. (You read it right these are Pre-Discussions that are mandatory). I was literally the youngest in my group, my colleagues were CEOs of a company since the time I was not even born :)

So Our Routine was Like Follows:

      7:00 to 8:00 am Breakfast

8:00 to 9:00 am Pre Discussion on Case Studies for the Day

9:00 to 10:30 am Session 1 : Live Case Analysis with Faculties and the Protogonist of the Case

10:30 to 11:00 am Tea Break | Networking Break

      11:00 to 12:30 pm Session 2

12:30 to 1:00 pm Activity / Group Tasks

      1:00 to 2: 00 pm Lunch

2:00 to 5:00 pm Another 2 Sessions with Live Case Analysis

5:00 to 5:30 pm Tea Break / Netoworking Time

5:30 to 6:30 pm Leadership Session or Learning Guest Session

      8:30 pm Dinner

You can go out explore Boston after 6:30 pm and enjoy the lovely Cafes and Street Live Musicians at the Harvard Square or walk around the Cambridge Campus and the beautiful riverside

One thing everyone if you get the opportunity should go to Harvard Spend A week or atleast a Day! It is Magnificent

Tara what made my profile stand out Firstly was the NMAT Score that had a significant weightage until last year. Secondly I believe the Case Discussion and Personal Interview tested us well on the Analytical Thinking; On the Spot Decision Making skills which were well showcased in the complete performace. Apart from this your 10th,12th and Graduation Scores and work Ex Tenure also adds in some value.

At present I wpuld suggest you to make your profile diverse and versatile with Certification Courses, Internships that make you relevant to the Skills needed in the current Job Markets

Rishabh: the Most common mistake that one does is - Leave the topics you don't like. that is something you can afford in CAT but not NMAT.

      Some Important Tips:

      1. Study each and every topic : Basic LOD 1 for sure
      2. Practice everyday NMAT Level Questions so that you can manage Time well
      3. NMAT Time Management Strategy and Section Selection Strategy is Important

Start with the Basics first get your foundation of each and every topic sorted, very important you cannot skip any topic as in NMAT Every module and topic can come in varying no of questions as it is adaptive.

The Most Recommended Topics I suggest:

      1. Quants : Arithmetic, Algebra and Modern Maths
      2. Data Interpretation: Tables, Pie Charts and Bar Graphs with calculation intensive options
      3. Verbal: Reading Comprehension , Analogies and Idioms
      4. Logical Reasoning: Critical Reasoning as 18 Questions come from that in almost every students exam

For more insights of the strategy please join the NMAT Saturday Sessions and Subscribe to the Youtube

The Admission process was completely changed last year. There were many new elements introduced like the Competency Test; AI Based Interviews which was very last minute for the students. The weightage for all the components are as follows:

      Component

      Weightage

      NMAT

      20%

      Competency Test

      50%

      Personal Interview

      10%

Work Experience | Achievements | Extra Curriculars( freshers )

      10%

Past Academic Records (PAR) | Co Curricular Achievements

      HSC 5% | Graduation 5%

      TOTAL

      100%

The CATKing students were able to get some practice with the competency test too within the 10 days of prep as they started prepping much earlier for the Basics of What NMIMS Really looks for.

Ma'am how would you describe the overall academic difficulty at NMIMS compared to other business schools?

The academic rigour is strong compared to other B-schools. It’s not overly difficult, but it definitely requires sincerity and discipline. You need to consistently maintain your grades throughout the semesters—falling behind can lead to a drop. That said, it’s not about difficulty as much as it is about being comprehensive and competitive, much like other top B-schools.
