How to choose doable sets in DILR, i.e. how do we recognize such ones?

How did you prepare specifically for BCG's case interviews, were they different from generic consulting prep?

Yes there is a huge difference as the roles are front end so there are two case rounds followed by a director round and then a talent acquisition round

Which coaching material or online sources worked best for you? Or did you completely rely on self-study? This is my first time attempting CAT and I am really lost.

There are two aspects of this question- Firstly 2019 when I first appeared for CAT I prepared with one institute and in 2020 I prepared with a different coaching institute. Secondly I believe you need a constant guidance from faculties and team for your daily improvements which here in catking we give the uttermost importance but to sum it up you still need to dedicate a lot of hard work and self study to succeed in any competitive exam

Did you do any certifications, live projects, or case competitions that helped with placements? How is IIM Lucknow during placement season in general?

No I had 2.5yrs of workex in cloud specifically AWS. And the placement scenario at IIM Lucknow has always been one of the best because of the diversity and the heritage it carries. I interned with the same company where i am working because I had a PPO so personally for me it was easy as I did not participate either in the final or hepp process

Sir,according to your personal experience, how much emphasis was given to academics vs current affairs vs work ex in your interview?

Sir can you please explain how does the placement process at IIM Lucknow work? For example, what is the timeline and how early should one start preparing and all that?

Typically it is similar to the other old IIM's. Like Day 0, 1 where 80% of the batch gets placed generally. You will have your seniors and preparation committee to help you during the entire process

How did you structure your overall QA preparation? like did you follow Arithmetic, then Algebra,then Geometry or some other order, Sir?

Yes, I went for multiple iterations. LOD1 followed by 2 with a lot of mocks and chapter tests. Don't forget to go through the PYQ to check your progress

Sir, how useful was it to solve QA sectional tests and full mocks? Which resources would you recommend?

It is very helpful as the pressure of clock gets under your skin. The more you face such scenarios the better you place yourself and place yourself for your big day

Sir, what does BCG typically look for in a CV for shortlisting at IIM Lucknow?

A very diversified CV with a lot of spikes. I believe my previous work ex also gave me an edge

Can you walk us through your IIM Lucknow interview experience? like what was the panel like and how did it start?

Fortunately my panel was very chill, it was a very short interview where they asked questions mainly based on my workex, state and since election was going on and I mentioned the same in my introduction they asked me a couple of questions on politics mainly seeking my opinion
